Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the LastBell apps and this website. A school's use of LastBell is also covered by its own agreement with us; if the two differ, the school's agreement wins.
1. Who may use LastBell
LastBell is for schools that use it, their staff, and the parents and other adults a school lists for its students. You may use it only with an account your school set up for you, or with the email address your school has on file for you. You must be an adult. Students do not use LastBell.
2. Your account
- Keep your phone locked and do not share sign-in codes.
- If a phone signed in to LastBell is lost, tell your school's office. A school can sign a staff phone out remotely, and parents can remove a phone in Settings.
- You are responsible for what is sent from your account.
3. Use it as intended
Do not:
- try to see information about students or families you are not allowed to see;
- send false updates or requests to a school;
- interfere with LastBell, test its security without our written permission, or copy, resell or reverse engineer it;
- use it in a way that breaks the law or a school's rules.
4. Not a replacement for your school's procedures or for 911
LastBell helps a school follow its own dismissal and safety procedures. It does not replace them, or the judgment of school staff. Notices can be delayed when a phone is off or has no signal. In an emergency, call 911.
Information in LastBell, such as a student's plan or a pickup list, is entered by the school. If something looks wrong, contact your school's office.
5. Information and privacy
Each school owns the information it puts into LastBell. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it. You keep the rights to what you send, and you allow us and your school to use it to run LastBell for your school.
6. Our service
LastBell, its apps, its design and its name belong to us. We may change or improve LastBell over time. We work to keep it available, but we cannot promise it will be free of interruptions or errors.
7. Ending your use
You can stop using LastBell at any time. Parents can delete their account in the app (Settings, then Delete my account). We or your school may suspend an account that breaks these terms or puts students at risk.
8. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent the law allows, LastBell is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell schools before a significant change takes effect. Questions: support@uselastbell.com.
